Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) is the main airport of Bangalore, Karnataka. It is located in Devanahalli, about 35 km from the city centre. The airport started operations on May 24, 2008, replacing the old HAL Airport. It is named after Kempegowda, the founder of Bangalore.
